NUIT BLANCHE (sleepless night) is an approach to Maurice Ravel through the eye and the ear. It deals with the multifaceted personality of this composer and his oeuvre, creating a cosmos of given facts and fictions – a world shot through with poetry and fine humour.

Music and dance are intertwined with projections and video animations which reflect the magic of Ravel's universe while unmasking it at the same time, exposing the irony of this solitary dandy who once said: I have only created one master work, the Bolero. Unfortunately it doesn't contain any music! When he was told after the show that a woman in the audience had fainted out of fear, because she had felt attacked by a madman, he unblinkingly replied: She truly understood what this is all about.
