André Desponds, Piano
André Desponds trained as concert pianist at the former Musikhochschule Zürich (now Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK) with Sava Savoff. He has wide experience in performing in concert halls and at festivals in Europe, the USA, Brazil and China. He also works as a pianist for various CD, radio and TV productions. André Desponds is specialised in the works of Chopin, Schubert and Gershwin. He accompanies artists like Noëmi Nadelmann, Bettina Boller and Simon Estes as a freelance chamber musician. Moreover, he composes for film, ballet and theatre and has made his mark as a silent movie pianist and improviser. He teaches at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

Thomas Dobler, Vibraphon
Thomas Dobler studied at the music schools of Zurich, Strasbourg and Paris and specialised in playing with four sticks and is now known as one of the most virtuous vibraphonists in Europe. Moving on the line between Jazz and Classical he did numerous CD, radio and film recordings and has considerable concert experience in Switzerland and in many other countries. He played at different renown festivals like the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, BBC Proms London, Ravenna Festival, Lucerne Festival etc. In 1998 he won the international CHAIN competition for interpreting contemporary music. As a soloist he played with the Orchester Musikkollegium Winterthur, the Camerata Bern and the Symphonisches Orchester Zürich. He also played recitals with the pianist André Desponds and performed many world premieres of contemporary oeuvres as a chamber musician. Thomas Dobler is a professor at the Conservatoire HEM de Lausanne (département jazz) as well as at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

Andrea Herdeg, Dancer and Choreographer
Andrea Herdeg trained as a dancer and physical performer at the Scuola Teatro Dimitri in Verscio and at the Laban Centre for Dance in London. She began working in contemporary dance and dance theatre in England, Italy and Switzerland in 1999. Since then she has worked as a dancer for artists like Claire Russ (London), Daniel Kayser (London), Birgit Scherzer (Berlin), Compagnia Vitale (Camedo) as well as in various dance films by Alain Le Razer (London); as a choreographer for th53 (London), Teatro Dimitri (Verscio), the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and others. Furthermore, Andrea Herdeg teaches contemporary dance at the Scuola Teatro Dimitri (Verscio).

Adrian Schulthess, Dancer
After his A-levels at the artistic gymnasium Liceo Artistico in Zurich, Adrian Schulthess studied at the Scuola Teatro Dimitri in Verscio from 1997-2000. Since then he has worked as a dancer and actor. He has danced in various productions of the Compagnia Vitale (Camedo) and has been a member of the Compagnia Lazzo / Commedia dell' arte (Munich). Since 2005 he has worked with herdeg&desponds on several site-specific performances and within the projects of Schulkultur (Zurich).
